HIAir enables the evaluation of different policy scenarios for reducing
air-pollution levels in order to facilitate the assessment of new strategies.
This tool provides the number of health events that could potentially be
prevented from an exposure to Urban Air Pollution (UAP) in a specific
population.
You can also estimate the gain in life expectancy and Years of Life Lost (YLL)
using life-tables approach from
AirQ software developed by WHO.
Other measures are considered for the future: Disability Adjusted Life Years
(DALYs) and external costs.
